Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid (Tony T)

Published On April 8, 2014 | By Tony | Tony T

Real Madrid travel to Germany with a 3 goal lead when they meet Borussia Dortmund in the return leg of Champions League quarter final. The lead established in the Bernabeu should be enough for Los Merengues to qualify for the semi-final of this year’s competition.

The 11/5 available on Dortmund to win in regulation time does not appeal. The Runners-up from last season’s competition have been rather unconvincing at home this year. Dortmund have lost to the likes of Arsenal in the group stages, and a very poor Zenit St Petersburg in the last round.

Baring the 2-2 draw away to Juventus in the group stages Real Madrid have been faultless, racking up 6 goal victories on the road against the like of Galatasaray and Schalke. It is worth remembering the victory against Schalke in Germany in the last round was only their second victory on Germany soil in all European competition in 22 attempts.

Bayern Munich bound Robert Lewandowski didn’t play in Madrid and should provide Dortmund with a greater goal threat. However, the hard work has been done by Madrid in the first leg. Carlo Ancelotti will set up his Madrid team to play on the break. Expect second half goals from Real Madrid. Therefore I suggest buying Real Madrid team goal minutes @ 96
