Arabian Comet can gain amends for her narrow defeat last time out at York by taking the feature race on the Doncaster card today – the Group 2 DFS Park Hill Stakes at 2.40.
The William Haggas trained runner has been a model of consistency this season winning three of her six starts and proved she could cope in Group level when a half length to Missunited in the Group 3 Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood over the same trip that she faces today.
It’s fair to assume that she is capable of further improvement – don’t be surprised though to see her behind in the early stages – that is very much her style of racing and hopefully we can see a late rattle.
There are a whole host of dangers as you might imagine in a competitive Group event.
Seal Of Approval could be the biggest danger. She was a good third to Seismos in the Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury last time out and is another who will be suited by this extended trip.
Melrose Abbey is only lightly race but another big danger after a smooth victory in handicap company last time out.
It was a profitable day yesterday – selling the distances spread at Doncaster and today’s recommendation is to BUY the performance of Arabian Comet at 19 on the 50/30/20/10 market.
