Our daily columnist and pundit S.P.Read Esq. looks at the question of the day WHAT TO DO IN SCOTLAND? and finds the best opportunity available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
There’s a huge dilemma in Scotland for me today…..
YES or NO
The decision is monumental.
Do I buy distances with Star Spreads at Ayr ????
The YES party says:
- The Star Spreads buy price of 12.1 works out at ‘only’ 1.5 lengths per race across the eight race card
- There’s hope of good winning distances in the opening two non handicap races – especially the opener with only four runners
- The same card last year produced a make up of 16.7 lengths
The NO party says:
- After the first two races, the races all look tough and it’s handicap city with six handicaps in a row
- Despite only four runners contesting the opening novice stakes – the top three are tight in the market
- The ground is good, good to firm in places – not necessarily conducive to long winning distances.
Anyway the votes are in and……..
It’s the YES that has it.
I’m buying the distances. Let’s hope for a good result in the opening two races so that the referee (referendum, surely?) can step in and stop the fight.
