Big night of European Champions League action with the Liverpool v Basel game live on ITV.

There’s plenty of pressure on the home side who must beat Basel to finish second in Group B and progress into the knockout phase.

Basel aren’t yet there themselves – but a draw is good enough to take the Swiss side through with Group winners Real Madrid.

Despite the predicament Rodgers is positive: “”We would have taken this when the draw was made. In my time here we have had games that were deemed as must-win games and more times than not we have won them.”

For Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is expected to start having been on the bench during Saturday’s drab 0-0 match against Sunderland.

The big problem for Liverpool has been scoring goals – they have not scored more than one goal in eight of their last 11 games.

The bookings haven’t been kind for me recently although there was plenty of late action last night.

With so much at stake tonight I feel a buy at 56 can be rewarded.
