Surely the downfall of Chelsea at St James’ Park earlier today will see Man City stride onto the Etihad with an extra spring in their step for their tea-time clash against Everton?

I think it’s wrong to say Chelsea’s first defeat of the season has blown the title race ‘wide open’ but it has at least reignited some interest in the title, especially for the neutrals, as it was all beginning to look a little of a foregone conclusion. However, is still looks to be between these two at this stage.

Indeed, if Man City can collect all three points they move within striking distance of Chelsea and will be just three points behind after 15 games.

Man City are really starting to click this season and come here on the back of four straight wins in the Premier League since their shock defeat at the hands of West Ham in October.

Everton’s European exploits seem to be catching up with them and are currently struggling for consistency and are nine points worse off than they were at this stage last season. However, they were unlucky not to collect all three points against Hull during the week – a game they completely dominated.

I can easily see plenty of goals here as both teams score for fun so am selling the time of the 3rd match goal at 69 minutes.
