S.P.Read Esq: Man U v Liverpool
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League match at 1.30pm on Sunday between MAN U v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Middlesbrough’s comfortable win against Derby was a good result for the column on Saturday.
A straightforward win bet on the home side looks the way to go again for what should be a lunchtime cracker at Old Trafford.
I was as sceptical as anyone about Man U in the Louis van Gaal era at the start of the season but we are starting to see some of the old Man U back, certainly in terms of results.
They are not yet playing great football – but they are getting results and have only dropped two points from seven home games since their disastrous loss to Swansea on the opening day of the season.
Liverpool still look pretty shell-shocked after a poor run last month which saw them win only one of six games across the Premier League and Champions League. Their latest Premier League outing saw a very drab 0-0 played out against Sunderland at Anfield.
A win today would take Man U Man U to 31 points – eight points off Chelsea and whilst no one is even considering them as title contenders it’s a margin that could be close enough at this stage of the season with the busy Christmas period still to come.
Liverpool won this corresponding fixture 3-0 last season but it was frankly a different Liverpool that played that day. Man U have a hefty 10/12 win rate from recent matches at Old Trafford between the two sides.
