Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Champions League game on Tuesday (7.45pm, LIVE ITV) between PSG v CHELSEA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Success last night with the over 2.5 goal recommendation at Deepdale.

Not that there’s ever a good time to visit Paris and the fortress that is the Parc des Prince but Chelsea might just fancy there chances tonight against a PSG side with a long list of injury concerns.

There is little to split the two sides on Star Sports fixed odds for this ‘last 16′ tie and I just wonder whether PSG’s lengthy run of 32 European home games without defeat might come under a little pressure?

At this relatively busy time of the season Chelsea have had a full six days to prepare for this after their 1-0 defeat of Spurs in the Premier League. They also have a lengthy break before their next game – the Capital One Cup Final against Spurs on 1st March.

PSG’s injury woes grew at the weekend during their 2-2 draw with Caen with Yohan Cabaye, Marquinhos and Serge Aurier all going off injured during the game and Lucas suffering a groin problem. It was a disastrous game for PSG who threw away their 2-0 lead and finished the match with nine men.

The good news for Chelsea is that Diego Costa is back from suspension and the small holiday period has been welcomed by boss Jose Mourinho: “The rest is welcome for us. In the end they have only one game that we don’t have. It’s only one more game, but I welcome this little rest for the players”.

Chelsea have their noses in front in the four times they have previously met.

The bookings were kind last night and again I think a buy might be in order – even though we have a much higher target of 51 points. Tonight’s referee is averaging 50 points so far this season so it’s easy to make a case for that being exceeded in such a high pressure match.
