S.P.Read Esq: Slovenia v England

England haven’t done anything wrong since their dire World Cup in Brazil and have dominated Group E from the start.

Manager Roy Hodgson said: “There have been a lot of changes since Brazil. Young players have come into the squad and team, it’s a very different team to the one from a year ago. I believe it’s an exciting team with large margins of progression. We will grow and get better, I have to be satisfied on their behalf.”

They now seek to finish the season unbeaten for the first time in 24 years in Ljubljana tonight.

Rooney looks set to close edger to Sir Bobby Charlton’s England goal scoring record – he needs two more goals to tie.

Slovenia are second in Group E and have a good record at home and could easily frustrate England – especially if they are as poor as they were in their friendly against Ireland last weekend.

However, the England win looks most likely and I am a buyer on the Star Spreads England win index at 16.5.
