Serena Williams and Petra Kvitova have won the last six Wimbledon’s between them and even at this relatively early stage it’s hard to see how they won’t be in the final a week on Saturday.

The 23-year-old said: “Do I believe I can beat her? Absolutely, there’s no point even going out there if you don’t believe you can win, because then there is no way I could possibly win anyway. I have to believe I can win from the first moment, from now. I’ll have to be very aggressive and push myself out of my comfort zone against her.”
Fighting talk but Williams has already won the Australian and French Open titles this season and it would be a monumental shock if she gets de-railed at this stage of Wimbledon.
