The Liverpool welcome to Jurgen Klopp has so far been very friendly and embracing but the pressure on the German is cranked up a little tonight for his first Anfield game and it’s a match that Liverpool are expected to win easily if the odds are to be believed.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge remains injured and misses the match. Klopp hopes the 26-year-old is available for Sunday’s home league game against Southampton. He said: “Sturridge is getting better and better,” he said. “Yesterday he was outside for the first time since Saturday. It was OK and the target for him is Sunday, for sure. That’s what we’ll try to do.”
