S.P.Read Esq: MK Dons v Chelsea

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the FA Cup 4th Round tie on Sunday between MK DONS v CHELSEA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadThe Star Spreads sellers on the Weekend FA Cup Upset Index. mentioned yesterday will be on good terms with themselves.

So far this weekend there haven’t been any real acts of giant-slaying and it’s all been a bit too predictable.

The closest to a shock we have come is Peterborough fighting back to draw with West Brom and Shrewsbury gaining a place in the 5th round thanks to a stoppage time header which disposed of higher ranked Sheffield Wednesday.

Now it’s the time for Everton and Chelsea to face lower opposition – both have away matches at Carlisle and the MK Dons respectively and many punters will fancy the ‘away day double’ at around 4/5 with Star Sports (fixed odds).

MK Dons meet Chelsea for the first time ever in their 4pm BBC game. Last season’s league Champions are playing better football under Guus Hiddink but still conceding goals at an alarming rate – 34 goals in 23 league games.

This is nice distraction for the MK Dons who are currently right in the thick of a relegation battle in the Championship with just three points between them, Fulham, Rotherham and Bristol City.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson: said: “On the day the players have to perform. All the prep and hard work that goes into every game doesn’t mean anything if we go and freeze. I know they won’t. I know we’ll try to do our best. The last words I’ll say will be, ‘Go and enjoy the experience’.”It’s going to be a wonderful experience, playing against some of the best players in the world.”

Contrasting team news…. For the Dons striker Nicky Maynard is a doubt with a hamstring problem, and Carl Baker, Matthew Upson and Ben Reeves are definitely out whilst for Chelsea Diego Costa is fit !!

16:00 BBC One / BBC One HD

HEAD TO HEAD RECORD
(Maximum 10 matches)
NEVER PLAYED

The usual cliché applies in terms of MK Dons having ‘nothing to lose’ but Chelsea are rebuilding some credibility after a shocker of a season and should be in no mood to show compassion.

There should be goals and selling at 74 with Star Spreads looks quite generous.
