S.P.Read Esq: Liverpool v Man U

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Europa League game on Thursday between LIVERPOOL v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Change of competition but I’m fully expecting Man U’s recent ownership of Liverpool to continue at Old Trafford tonight in the first leg of their last 16 Europa League tie.

Man U have won their last four Premier League games against Liverpool by an aggregate of 9-2 and in my mind are playing better football this season than Liverpool who were lucky with their last minute penalty winner against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The two teams have never met at this level before and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said tonight’s match was: “the mother of all football games”.

He added: “I always said the Europa League is very exciting. It’s really, really big. I hope it’s not the biggest [match] in my Liverpool career but it’s very important.”

For Man U Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Will Keane, Luke Shaw, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Phil Jones are all still out but some of the younger Man U players are already starting to prove themselves and can again frustrate the hosts.
