S.P.Read Esq: Man U v Everton

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League clash on Sunday between MAN U v EVERTON and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Yet again, the results fell Leicester City’s way yesterday with Spurs being held at Anfield to ensure that Leicester will finish the weekend with either a four point lead – or open up a seven-point gap at the top if they can beat Southampton this afternoon in the first Premier League game of the day.

The Foxes are under much less pressure than they would have been if Spurs had taken all three points and should account for Southampton who are playing good football (lost just two of their last 11 games) themselves and pushing for a place in Europe.

Leicester have won their last three games by 1-0 margins against Watford, Newcastle and Crystal Palace – all teams below Southampton in the table and they will need to probably pull out more to beat Southampton but I’m certainly not going to start tipping against them at this stage of the season.

In the later 4pm kick off Man U play host to Everton who have a better record on the road this season than they do at Goodison. A win for Man U would lift them into fifth and given they are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup too – there is still plenty for them to play for – in what has been billed as a disappointing season.

Man U manager Louis van Gaal said: “Everton have a good away record, better than their home record – it is very strange. When you also see the history of the last matches against them – not my history, but other recent games – it is not so good.”
