S.P. Read Esq: Chelsea v Spurs

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between CHELSEA v SPURS and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadThe tea-time kick off at Stamford Bridge on Saturday promises plenty. A Chelsea side who have won six of their seven home games under Antonio Conti square up to Spurs who remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season.

It’s also a match that usually produces plenty of goals – apart from a 0-0 blip at White Hart Lane last season.

Man City are first out of the blocks on Saturday with their 12.30pm kick off against Burnley and would go top if securing all three points.

Liverpool could go top on goal difference, if beating Sunderland at 3pm, and then Chelsea can leap-frog them both to remain where they started the day – at the top of the table.

So it’s not inconceivable that we will have four leaders of the Premier League at different points today !!

It’s hard to look beyond Chelsea – I think the fact they are not involved in Europe is a real positive and they have had a full six days to prepare for this after their 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Sunday.

In contrast Spurs were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco on Tuesday and now have to regroup for this huge encounter.

Spurs Mauricio Pochettino said of Chelsea: “They are in very good form, they have a great manager that I know very well and they have great players too.

“For them, they are not involved in the cups now, they have time for training and to develop their philosophy and I think, not only in England but in Europe, they are a team on form today.”

Spurs will be without Danny Rose and Ben Davies who are suspended whilst Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld will miss the match through injury.

For Chelsea Antonio Conte is unlikely to change a winning system and may well name the same starting XI for the sixth successive Premier League match.
