Back to the football on Saturday for the Premier League live game at 5.30pm between Man U and Southampton.
The two have conspired to score just one goal between them on the last two times they have met and it’s hard to think that things will change much under the floodlights at Old Trafford tonight. Southampton have only scored seven goals on the road this season.
Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino said: “Manchester United are a powerful team, but we are in the moment that we have to think more about us and what we have to do on the pitch. This is our reality and can’t talk about the other teams.
“Even for Manchester United it is difficult to win many games in a row because the Premier League is really competitive. Everybody is suffering this.”
Jose Mourinho seems to have spent most of the week complaining about his big-spending rivals and whilst he has a point, his side needed more than draws against Leicester and Burnley recently to remain competitive title challengers and they now seem to have handed the title (in Christmas gift wrap) to City.
