After a seemingly eternal break, the Champions League explodes back into action tonight with the first of the last 16 first round games.

Spurs are in Italy where they play the mighty Juventus for the first time competitively.

Both sides are in strong form domestically – Juventus one point off leaders Napoli at the top of Serie A and Spurs pushing for another automatic Champions League place.

Juventus have incredibly conceded just once in their last 16 matches and are rock solid at home – unbeaten in 26 home European matches. As such, you’d have to consider a DRAW a fantastic result for Spurs to take back to Wembley.

Given the current form of Juventus, I actually thought they might be shorter in the market even with the absence of Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado, Andrea Barzagli and Blaise Matuidi.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri said: “We know their strengths and we know that we will have to suffer for some parts of the game because Tottenham have four players with great quality in attack.

“We have achieved very good results in Europe. Only Real Madrid have done better in my opinion in recent years.”

Fair assumption that the Juventus defence will be hard to penetrate again so I am a buyer of the first Spurs goal at 62 minutes with Star Spreads.
