S.P. Read Esq: Everton v Man City
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League game between EVERTON v MAN CITY and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Everton have hit the magic 40 points but have had a largely disappointing campaign, despite being the only side to take points off Man City at the Etihad this season.
The reverse fixture finished 1-1 in August but since then the two sides have gone in polar opposite directions.
The challenge for Everton, like all sides at the moment, is trying to penetrate a rock solid City defence that has seen Pep Guardiola’s side keep clean sheets in four of their last five games.
Everton are without Idrissa Gueye, who is nursing a thigh injury and Ashley Williams who is completing a three-game suspension.
Still no Sergio Aguero for Man City after his knee injury and he is likely to be rested now ahead of next week’s Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool.

Guardiola is fully aware there is still a job to be done: “It’s not done. We are almost there, in almost an ideal situation but it isn’t done. The Premier League is tough, you can lose two or three in a row and you are in trouble.
“Goodison is always a tough ground, the Manchester derby is going to be very, very difficult and we know how well Tottenham play at Wembley. We will celebrate when it is done but for now we prepare as we always have done.”
