World Hurdle Preview

The World Hurdle has got this betting blog in a quandary.

I am a “numbers man” when it comes to having big bets on horse racing. I study the times and I study the ratings and I find my bets from there.

By the numbers Big Buck’s comes out as the biggest lay of the Festival.

And yet… he has won his last 15. He’s arguably the greatest staying hurdler of all time. I can’t see him losing. And yet and yet and yet…

So I can’t lay him and I can’t back him. So I am going to take him out of the equation. I’m going to tip up a horse without Big Buck’s.

I can’t have Oscar Whisky on my mind. I never back horses up in trip so a line through him.

I find myself left with Dynaste. He’s come up against the champ twice. The first time he tried to out-gallop him and Big Buck’s showed him who the Daddy was. The second time he was more careful and got a bit closer. Either way we know he gets up the hill and he should have too much for the rest.

Have a big bet on Dynaste each way without Big Buck’s. It’t not a sexy pick, but that’s where the value lies and this betting blog is all about finding value.

So sit back and enjoy the coronation of Big Buck’s. We’ll scoop the loot when Dynaste hacks up (in second).
