Blogs Revisited

Every so often it is a good idea to look back at one’s betting to see how you have been tipping or punting with a view to improving profits for the future. This is what shrewdies do anyway. I am going to look back at past betting blogs to see exactly how my tips performed.

Ryder Cup -Tipped America 2pts win @ 5-6. Still to run. Very happy with that. An on fire Rory McIlroy can’t play in all the games can he? Looks like the price has slightly moved in my direction too.

Liverpool v Man City – lay Liverpool at 3.1. Shrewd. Never in doubt. Sorry Judge.

Superbowl – New England to beat New York Giants. Oh dear. NYG cover (and win outright). Brady overthrows Welker to ice the game (or Welker drops a very catchable ball…)

Rugby Six Nations – Back England to beat Scotland. Oh yes. “wpsms” I think they say.

FA Cup Outright – Everton and Sunderland e/w at big prices. Everton beat Sunderland in their quarter final only to be beaten in the semi-final by their local neighbours Liverpool. I’m not one for bad beat stories but I think this one qualifies!

King George – Two bets there. Long Run to win. Shocking ride from the dentist. Loser. Somersby e/w without Long Run, finished placed. Small down on the event. We’ll get the next one, racing fans.

Amongst all these other blogs there were a few thoughts and suggestions (some of which were useless) so I feel that when I put a selection up as a suggested bet at a recommended price– that is the real quiz! I’m joking. But no seriously, they are the only ones that count!

All in all probably about nothing done so far – could do better.

Looking back at these should help looking forward. And try to do the same with your own betting. It’s very easy to fire off selections and then only remember (and talk about!) the winners. Be honest with your successes and failures and you should find yourself getting more and more of the former!
