S.P. Read Esq. Cameroon v Brazil
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P.Read Esq. had another winning day on Sunday and now previews CAMEROON v BRAZIL (9pm).
Just made it.
Belgium like leaving it late, which is no good for my old ticker but their 88th minute winner gave me another profitable day having bought their supremacy on Star Spreads – the home of sports spread betting.
That was enough for a profit on the day of 9 points to recommended stakes and the profit since the World Cup started now stands at 148 points.
The great summer of sport continues today with Wimbledon and the World Cup.
I’m going to look at some of the Wimbledon markets in a couple of days time but I’m still very much rolling with the World Cup.
We’ve reached the final stages of the Group phase and that only means one thing. Dusting down the old TV from the loft and watching two matches simultaneously.
In a bid to prevent tactical play both the closing matches kick off at the same time.
Brazil remain favourites despite not yet sparkling. They needed considerable help from the referee in their first match and the local newspapers described their goalless draw with Mexico last time out as a “horror show”.
You do get the feeling however that they will turn on the style very soon but first they have the small matter of getting out of Group A to think about because they haven’t quite done enough yet.
Only a draw is needed against Cameroon but the unthinkable would happen if Cameroon WIN and Croatia v Mexico ended as a draw.
Cameroon have nothing left but pride to play for and they haven’t shown much of that so far. Moaning about payments BEFORE the World Cup started and some shocking fouls on the pitch combined with the fact they haven’t scored a goal in their first two matches shouldn’t have Brazil worried too much.
