S.P.Read Esq: Andy Murray v Roger Federer
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the second Men’s semi-final at Wimbledon between ANDY MURRAY v ROGER FEDERER and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Garbine Muguruza landed a nice win for the column of 350 points yesterday and I also collected an ante-post profit from the recommended trade on Maria Sharapova on the 60 INDEX on Star Spreads.
Not exactly a bad line-up at Wimbledon today for the Men’s semi-finals:
1pm
Novak Djokovic v Richard Gasquet
3pm
Andy Murray v Roger Federer
It will be interesting to see who the crowd get behind the most in the Murray match – you would automatically assume Murray but Federer has a big army of fans who want him to lift the SW19 title for the eighth time.
Djokovic is priced short (a little too short IMO) to beat surprise semi-finalist Richard Gasquet but in the other semi-final the Star Spreads market is struggling to split Murray and Federer.
The head-to-head record is also struggling to split them……….
Overall: Federer 12-11
On grass: 1-1
In Wimbledon: Federer 1-0
In Grand Slams: Federer 4-1
In finals: Federer 5-3
This tournament has so far been easy for Federer – his serve has just been broken once (by Gilles Simon) and interestingly he has been on court for just 470 minutes compared with Murray’s 661 – over three hours less.
For all that Federer is getting old (now 33, I wish I was THAT old) the grace and skill is still there and is the perfect contrast to the power and aggression traits of Murray’s game.
I favour Murray, so am trading him on the Star Spreads match superiority index – buying at 2 but at reduced stakes from yesterday.
