S.P. Read Esq: Tottenham v Bayer Leverkusen
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Wednesday’s Champions League game between TOTTENHAM v BAYER LEVERKUSEN and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Plenty of short price jollies on tonight’s Champions League card and the challenge for punters will be avoiding any coupon busters.
Dortmund, Juventus, Real Madrid, Porto, Sevilla are all around 4/9 or shorter and there’s usually one team that spoils the fun.
Leicester and Spurs are in action tonight in matches that look infinitely harder to predict.
Bayer Leverkusen and Spurs shared a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture last month and since that match Spurs have failed to win in three games. Draws against Bournemouth and Leicester and a loss against Liverpool. Finding the back of the net seems to be a current problem for them with just five goals in their last six league and European games.
Mauricio Pochettino said of last month’s match: ”We are creating the same chances as before, but it’s true that our percentage was poor in front of goal.
“We need to be more clinical in our offensive situation. We need to be determined and aggressive in the last third.
“It’ll be tough but we are conscious that we need to take the three points if we want to go to the next round.”
Bayer Leverkusen have recently fared slightly better domestically with an away win to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga at the weekend moving into a mediocre 10th.
Before tonight’s games Spurs are second in Group E with four points and Bayer Leverkusen third with three points.
