S.P. Read Esq: Man U v West Ham

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Wednesday’s EFL Cup clash between MAN U v WEST HAM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadMan U face West Ham at Old Trafford for the second time in just four days after a 1-1 draw on Sunday – a game which Man U dominated but ended up as frustrated as their water bottle kicking manager Mourinho.

If only recent form was in anyway reliable.

It isn’t.

Just cast your eyes back to last season when Leicester played Spurs three times in the space of 10 days and there was a different result on each occasion!

DRAW (FA Cup)

13 Jan
LEICESTER WIN (Premier League)

20 Jan
SPURS WIN (FA Cup)

One thing we learnt from last night were that goals were hard to come by in the first set of Quarter Finals and it’s hard to see how this will be a high-scoring affair tonight.

Both sides are likely to rotate heavily ahead of their weekend fixtures. Man U are away to Everton on Sunday and West Ham at home to Arsenal on Saturday. The Hammers haven’t started the season well and it’s possible they could drop into the bottom three on Saturday.

In any event Man U will be without midfielders Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini who miss the match through suspension.

West Ham boss West Ham boss Slaven Bilic will be without injured striker Diafra Sakho and said: “It would give us a lot of confidence if we could win the game and we will be doing everything to do that.

“If we change a few players like United will, it doesn’t mean we are going there just to play a game.

“It is a quarter-final and to reach the semis is a big thing and we are just a couple of games from the final.
