Surprisingly, this is the first-ever meeting between these sides in a major final. Arsenal have won both previous meetings with Manchester City at Wembley – 3-0 in the 2014 Community Shield and 2-1 in last season’s FA Cup semi-final.
It also gives Guardiola the chance to win his first major trophy in English football.
He feels this Final represents the perfect chance to put behind the FA Cup loss against Wigan.
He said: “We are now involved in three so we are going, of course, to win.
“The team is stable, it’s been stable all season. The good moments come and there’ll be another one.
“We lost. Congratulations again to Wigan but now we are going to play a final. It is a moment to enjoy and be serious.”
