NFL Long-Term Tip

I’ve got a quick long-term NFL tip for you today as nothing’s really screaming at me for this weekend’s games.

I recommend a big bet on Houston e/w for the Super Bowl.

They have got the division sown up and look around evens to get either the 1 or the 2 seed in the AFC. That bye would give them a week to put their feet up and an extra week for third-string QB T.J.Yates (who has not looked terrible) to get his head into the playbook.

I’m not sold on anyone else in the conference. New England can’t defend the pass; Baltimore have already lost to Seattle and Jacksonville; Pittsburgh have been beaten home and away by the same Ravens; the Jets and Cincy are first-round fodder if at all and I refuse to drink the Tebow Kool-Aid.

So snap up some of the 25-1 out there. I know it feels wrong getting with a team which has already lost two starting QBs, but that’s why they’re 25s and the Patriots are 9/2 best price (?).
