Taking the low road at Wolverhampton
I appreciate it’s a marathon eight race card at Wolverhampton this afternoon from 2.30pm until 6pm but the spread on the winning distances of around 15-16.5 with Star Spreads looks a little high.
It’s a modest card with six of the eight races handicaps and lets face it the last thing owners and trainers want at this level is horses bolting home by five or six lengths.
The danger race in going low is the maiden fillies race at 3.30 where the once raced Jeremy Noseda trained Expect is the short priced favourite after a decent debut effort at Yarmouth – but even here we have a couple of runners from the bigger stables that might make her work on her all-weather debut.
We’re looking at keeping it two lengths or under in each race which I think is easily achievable on this card.
A repetition of Saturday night would be good enough:
0.5
2.75
3.25
1.5
0.3
1
0.75
0.3
For a make up of 10.35 lengths.
