S.P.Read Esq: Reading v QPR

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Championship game on Thursday between READING v QPR and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadRemember the days when football matches only used to be played at 3pm on Saturday? If you don’t, you’re lucky, as you’re not as old as me.

Reading have now played on EVERY day of the week so far this season and somewhat unusually we have a Championship clash tonight, on a Thursday.

There’s plenty at stake too as Reading (9th) welcome QPR (12th) – a win for either side could lift them right up the table into the play-off zone but a draw doesn’t really help.

Reading’s form this season is a riddle wrapped in an enigma. A bit like the pub meal I had last weekend a moderate starter, superb middle course and a dessert that promised a lot but ultimately tasted sour.

They are now just one win from their last seven league games and have drawn their last two home games at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading’s captain Paul McShane suffered swelling under his eye after a clash of heads on Saturday and is expected to miss tonight’s game.

QPR’s away form is letting them down. They arrived here on the back of three consecutive defeats at the hands of Brentford, Derby and Middlesbrough.

QPR are expected to be re-united with Charlie Austin (after calf problem) and Leroy Fer (suspension).
