It might be fair to say that Palace are missing Wilfried Zaha (knee injury) – played eight, lost eight without him. And they desperately need some points too – sitting in 18th spot but a win tonight would leapfrog them into a share of 13th such is the compact nature of the table.

Crystal Palace’s manager Roy Hodgson when asked on possible relegation said: “At the moment there is no need for any of us, certainly not the players or myself, to give that any thought.

“We think about each day as it comes, we think about how we are going to approach the next game, how we will do our very, very best to get points from that game and how we are going to make certain that in getting points from the game we accumulate enough so at the end of the season we are not one of the unfortunate three.”

Looking further north in the table Man U can move back into second place behind their runaway neighbours.

But Man U also have their fair share of injury woes with six first-team players missing.

I’m a Star Spreads BUYER on the time of the first match goal at 72 minutes. The atmosphere at Selhurst Park is usually electric for the evening games and Man U might just get held up – hopefully at least for a while.
