Rainy days and Mondays
I backed a winner yesterday but it felt like a loser.
I went with the Coventry superiority at 0.7 over Sheffield United and at 3-0 up I was quite happy.
The 3-2 final result dented profits to just a fraction but in the end I was glad they even held on.
The racing story today is not about today’s runners. It’s the non runners that are making the headlines.
The deluge that swept the south yesterday has decimated the fields at Salisbury and Windsor and at the time of writing there are 29 non runners at Windsor alone.
My 100% unofficial spread on the final tally is set at 36-38. Any takers !
As we saw at Goodwood yesterday the sudden change in ground brought about two wide margin winners (both trained by Richard Hannon) and I’ve a feeling we could be in for the same at Windsor today and that the market has under estimated this factor.
The Star Spreads line of around 13.8-15.3 has buy written all over it and over nine races I am confident of hitting the 1.91 length average.
ADVICE
BUY distances at Windsor at around 15.3
