S.P.Read Esq: San Marino v England
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Euro 2016 qualifier between SAN MARINO v ENGLAND and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Frustratingly, it’s not often that a 4-0 win is not good enough when you’ve tipped the winning side but that was the case last night as I bought goals with Star Spreads.
More Euro 2016 action on Saturday and the role of the whipping boys today will be played by San Marino who can be backed at basically any price you like against England.
The reverse fixture finished 5-0 to England at Wembley and a similar scoreline can be expected given the gulf in the two sides.
In fairness to San Marino they do appear to be getting better, or ‘least bad’ perhaps. They picked up a draw against Estonia in November and ‘only’ lost 4-0 to Switzerland.
There could easily be records broken tonight as England captain Wayne Rooney is just one short of Sir Bobby Charlton’s England scoring record of 49 goals. It’s clearly a matter of time before the record is broken and it would be a huge surprise if it was not at least equalled tonight.
A victory in San Marino will secure England their place at Euro 2016 with three matches to go. Given they are 18-0 against San Marino in their three previous games and Hodgson has no injury problems it looks a formality.
